Scope and Purpose
The course is basically consisting of e-learning, CBTs and webinar on basic engine concept, its critical parts and various auxiliary operating system needed in order to attain operational status of the main propulsion engine.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Gained knowledge with the use of instrumentation and controls used in the Engine rooms of modern merchant ships.
- Understand the importance of various engine critical parts and its function.
- Understand the importance of proper watch keeping.

- Participants must have at least a basic knowledge of computers.
- Completed at least 1 year of sea service as cadet or as OIC.
