Scope and Purpose
The MRM course is designed to minimize the risk of incidents by encouraging safe and responsible behavior. It aims to foster positive attitudes favoring good personal communication, excellence in leadership skills, and compliance with operating procedures. The program meets the requirements laid down in the IMO International Convention on STCW 1978, as amended by the 2010 Manila Amendments in the following areas:
- Table A-II/2 and A-III/2 Use of Leadership and Managerial Skills
- Table A-II/1, Table A-III/1, Table A-III/6 Application of Leadership and Teamworking Skills
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Apply changes in behavior of the officers and crew to better resource management practices during everyday operations and increase safety, efficiency, and job satisfaction onboard

- Open to all OSM Junior/ Senior Officers
- Must have taken the following courses as pre-requisite to the virtual classroom session:
- PEOS/HR in-class or virtual
- PDOS in-class or virtual
- Must have finished the iLearn module
- iLearn : 11 Hours
- Virtual : 5 Hours
