Scope and Purpose
To give the participants an in-depth understanding on Collision Avoidance and the importance of human element involvement, assertiveness, judgment and decision making in Ships Operation as stipulated in STCW Code 2010 as amended: Part A, Chapter II Master and Deck Department – Section A – II/1 and II/2 to have thorough knowledge of the content, application and intent of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
- Gain a thorough understanding on how to apply the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea in practice.
- Gain thorough knowledge of the content, application and intent of the principles in keeping a navigational watch.
