Scope and Purpose
The course aims to introduce issues of cross-cultural differences to Hurtigruten seafarers who work with international crew. This is essential in order to minimize problems and misunderstandings that arise from cultural differences.
At the end of the course, Hurtigruten seafarers will be able to:
- Explain the need for increased cultural awareness
- Explain five ways of classifying national culture
- Identify key learning points in cross-cultural teamworking
