Scope and Purpose
This course intends to provide essential knowledge, dealing with the commercial aspect of bulk carrier and its trade, and the accompanying command responsibility of the shipboard management team.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Determine the parties involved in the bulk carrier business and trade partners
- Enumerate company specific goals and procedures for commercial aspects of dry bulkers
- Know the importance of all cargo and port documentations for bulk carrier
- Common operational and cargo issues onboard dry bulk carrier
- Enumerate and discuss operational challenges in shipping industry and how to deal with it
