Aims
The aim of this training is to address the knowledge gaps among company’s Electro-technical Officers (ETO) by keeping them up to date with the new industry standards. This training also aims to enhance the ETO’s work attitude towards safety, proper maintenance and the application of the industries’ best practices.
General Objectives
On successful completion of the training and the practical experience gained, the ETO’s will be more prepared in taking full responsibility for the ship’s efficiency and safety of the ship crew and cargo. They will acquire knowledge and skills to demonstrate function, and safety tests as required by international inspectors concerning safety.
Specific Objectives
On successful completion, the trainees will gain detailed knowledge and acquire new skills to perform their tasks, duties and responsibilities related to:
- safe operation of electrical and electronic control equipment;
- troubleshooting and restoration of electrical and electronic control equipment;
- efficient maintenance of electrical and electronic control equipment;
- application of best practices for electrical and electronic control equipment including retrofits.
