Scope and Purpose
This course focuses on the safety of every individual involved in operations in an enclosed space in accordance with the company's Enclosed Space Entry Procedures. It also includes the use and calibration of portable gas instruments, PPE, and rescue equipment. The course satisfies the training recommendation of RISQ Section 4.5.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Learn the industry requirements for enclosed space entry
- Identify the hazards associated when entering an enclosed spare
- Understand the company guidelines and procedure for enclosed space and pumproom entry
- Learn and demonstrate the use and calibration of gas instruments
- Familiarity with enclosed space rescue equipment and rescue procedure
