Scope and Purpose
This course is designed for deck officers duly tasked with overseeing the operation FRAMO Cargo Pumping System. The course consists of extensive lectures and practical instructions on the theoretical and technical design, principles, and operating mechanics of the system, including its key operation and maintenance activities.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the principles, design, and operating mechanics of the FRAMO Cargo Pumping system, including its ancillaries
- Learn and apply the 11 Important rules in cargo operations
- Demonstrate purging, loading, and discharging using the FRAMO pump
