Scope and Purpose

The course provides training and guidance for the personnel involved in handling different kinds of paints including surface preparations. In addition, the course involves a presentation of the different types of corrosion, its implication, the treatment, and the hazards that may affect health, safety, and the environment.

 
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
  • Discuss the principles and causes of corrosion
  • Describe the procedure of effective surface preparation  
  • Explain proper painting applications
  • Identify different equipment used in preparation and coatings
  • Demonstrate the use of blasting and painting equipment
  • Familiar with procedures related to surface painting and preparation
